Software engineer left America, doing fish farming in the village

Leaving all this and returning to his homeland, Sujit Chaudhary chose fish farming as an industry and proved himself. His steps did not stop here. Now he is planning to set up a fish hub in the village.
Yes, we are talking about Sujit Chaudhary, originally a resident of Walterganj in Basti district. He took the degree of B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) in 2005 from Noida. He got his first job in Infosys company. He later joined Indus Valley Partners Company. In 2007, he was sent to America as an associate director in the same company. He worked there for about nine years and then in 2016 he came back to his country.
After returning home, he first opened a software company in Noida, which is still running. Sujit’s parents were concerned about their son’s health after the outbreak of the Corona epidemic, then he moved to Lucknow. He has a house in Gomti Nagar in the capital. During the Corona period itself, he decided that he would set up an industry in the village itself, which would be related to agriculture. After a lot of research, he found the fish farming industry right. He came in contact with the District Fisheries Officer of Rae Bareli and decided to start fish farming in this district.
10 hectare land taken on lease
In 2019, Sujit took ten hectares of land on lease for 20 years in Balla village of Maharajganj. For this, he is paying 10 to 25 thousand rupees per bigha. At present, fish production is being done in 23 ponds on this land. On an average, 500 to 600 tonnes of fish are sold from these ponds every year.
Received a grant of 8.50 lakhs
Sujit has received a grant of 8.50 lakh in 2021 under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana. Under this scheme, he wants to set up a fish hub, in which along with the laboratory, there will also be a system for training the youth in fisheries.
