Sakhi Welfare Foundation gives memorandum to PM and CM
Sankalp savera Jaunpur,Sakhi Welfare Foundation gave a memorandum addressed to Hon’ble Prime Minister and Hon’ble Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh regarding mandatory installation of sanitary pad vending machines in all educational institutions addressing the problem of education of girls and adolescent girls due to menstruation and their school dropout and absenteeism problem through Hon’ble Minister of State for Housing and Urban Planning, Uttar Pradesh Mr. Girish Chandra Yadav.
President of Sakhi welfare foundation, Priti Gupta said that gender equality in the country requires that girls also get equal opportunities in school, so that they can develop themselves educationally and holistically with full potential. But we do not have awareness about menstrual hygiene, still lack of comprehensive availability of sanitary pads,
lack of proper women’s toilets in educational institutions and our commitment to solving all these problems Women and adolescent girls do not get equal opportunities for development and even after so many years of Independence, there is a problem of school dropouts and absenteeism due to lack of proper menstrual sanitation management.

Sakhi Welfare Foundation demands that installation of sanitary pad vending machines should be made mandatory for all educational institutions along with proper toilet facilities for girls so that whenever they need a sanitary pad during the school periods they are immediately available through vending machines and they do not feel the embarrassment of asking anyone. Swarnima Jaiswal, Archana Singh, Sujata Jaiswal, Tulika Srivastava, Priyanka Pandey, Suhani Shah and others were present on the occasion.
